Ebay’s Fashion Outlet has enjoyed international success for the past two years.
Retailers now have another avenue to sell their wares in a safe and secure environment. Customers who may be wary of buying on the traditional eBay format can now do so without the worry of faulty or incorrectly described garments that are a nightmare to return.
Beyond Retro only recently signed up to the eBay store site to reach out to a far wider breadth of customers. As an indie, we believe this is an opportunity to be among our customers in a new way.
A vital tool in our ecommerce growth has been the availability of information gathered from customers and industry research. Last month, Beyond Retro was invited to the Drapers Etail Report round table, where it was reassuring to see that our own etail challenges are not restricted to small indies, as bigger names voiced similar problems. These issues force them to continually evolve; for an indie to maintain longevity and hold the customer’s interest, we must evolve too.
Time will tell with our eBay project, particularly with budget and resource constraints. However, by working with an innovative team and keeping attuned to growing trends, the future seems bright.
