US-based fast fashion retailer Forever 21 has expanded its Oxford Street flagship by a further 6,300 sq ft.
The store, at 360 Oxford Street, will now span three floors and occupy a total of 39,000 sq ft of retail space. The move was completed just ahead of the start of the Olympics last week.
Forever 21 said the expansion would offer “adequate space” for the upcoming autumn 12 collection.
Executive vice president Larry Meyer added: “Oxford Street is one of the most renowned shopping locations in the world and has always been a target for Forever 21.
“We were overwhelmed by the reaction from London’s shoppers, and with the additional square footage in place, we can meet the demand and deliver fresh new trends in-store daily.”
The retailer has also opened a new branch at Manchester’s Trafford Centre, and plans to launch stores in Lakeside and Bluewater within the next year.
Forever 21 has more than 500 stores in the US and first launched in the UK in November 2010. Currently it has branches Dublin, Birmingham, London Oxford Street and London Westfield Stratford.
