Former Americana boss joins Blue Wahoo

Former Americana International managing director Kelvin Vidler has joined surfwear brand Blue Wahoo as chairman.

Vidler will help oversee growth of Blue Wahoo and the rest of parent company Twinfin's brand portfolio. Twinfin also has other casualwear labels in development.

Vidler previously worked at Americana, which owns the Bench and Hooch casualwear brands and the Westworld retail chain.

Twinfin managing director Stuart Ogg said: "We have built a solid foundation for the growth of the Blue Wahoo brand, Kelvin has the experience and credibility we need to go forward and fulfil the brand potential."

He added that plans for Blue Wahoo include store openings, licences and international growth.
