Former BHS buying director joins George

Mary-Kate Campbell, former buying director at BHS, has joined Asda’s clothing brand George as senior buying director.

Campbell replaces Helen Connolly, who joined Bonmarché in August as chief executive. Connolly replaced Beth Butterwick, who has taken the top job at Karen Millen.

Campbell worked at BHS for less than a year before the retailer’s demise. She left in July.

Prior to that she was womenswear buying controller at Primark for three years. She also previously held buying roles at Marks & Spencer for eight years.
