Former BHS merchandise director heads to Ralph Lauren

Former BHS group merchandise director Richard Hindley has been appointed as vice president of planning and trading for factory stores in the European Union at Ralph Lauren.

Hindley joined BHS as merchandise director in September 2015, before taking up the group role in March 2016.

Previously, he spent just over a year at Target Australia, latterly as general manager for planning and trading, and was merchandise director at Oasis for seven years from March 2007. He has also held roles at Laura Ashley, House of Fraser and Miss Selfridge.
