Former Coggles buying boss Jagger joins Leeds start up

Former Topman, Ralph Lauren and Coggles buyer Adam Jagger has been hired as buying consultant for a new premium retail and lifestyle store in Leeds.

The 4,000 sq ft space called Lambert’s Yard, which launches in October in Leeds city centre’s oldest courtyard, will host collections by emerging brands and designers.

Jagger joined yesterday (July 29) and is responsible with finding “the best local and national talent” looking for a premium stockist in the north of England.

He said: “I think Lambert’s Yard will create a unique destination in the north for emerging and established independent brands – it is a privilege to be a part of it.”

Jagger began his career as a sales assistant at York premium independent Coggles in 1995, before becoming store manager in 2000.

He left in 2008 to join Asos as buyer for premium menswear, returning to Coggles in 2011 to replace Mark Bage as buying director, overseeing menswear and womenswear.

Last April Jagger took up a senior buying position at Topman, but left after just six months. He was most recently European ecommerce buyer for Ralph Lauren.

Coggles entered administration last May, and was eventually bought out by The Hut Group.
