Former M&S executive Ian Dyson appointed to Asos board

Asos has appointed former Marks & Spencer director Ian Dyson to its board.

Dyson will join the etailer as a senior independent and non-executive director from October 1.

He was group finance and operations director of Marks & Spencer from 2005 to 2010, before becoming chief executive of pub group Punch Taverns.

Asos chairman Brian McBride said: “Ian has a wealth of experience of being at the forefront of large UK listed consumer-led businesses and has strong understanding of both the retail industry and of technology. He brings a new perspective to an already experienced non-executive team and we welcome him to the Asos board.”
