Former Pringle boss resurfaces at McQ

Former Pringle of Scotland design director Alistair Carr has joined Alexander McQueen’s diffusion line McQ.

Carr will take on design responsibility for menswear, womenswear and accessories ahead of autumn 13, the label confirmed this afternoon.

Carr, who left Pringle in April, will report into McQ creative director Sarah Burton, who retains overall responsibility for the brand image and collection.

Prior to joining Pringle, where he spent a year as design director, Carr worked at Balenciaga, Marni, Cacherel and Chloe. He also managed his own label for three seasons.
