Former Reiss director Gwynn Milligan named as Bank boss

Former Reiss trading director Gwynn Milligan has been appointed as managing director of young fashion retailer Bank.

Milligan, who has also previously held senior management positions at Asos and Arcadia, takes the reins from Peter Alecock, who will now take up the role of group commercial operations director at parent company JD Sports Fashion.

Milligan left Reiss in February after just eight months in her role, and prior to this she was managing director at luxury private sale etailer Cocosa. Milligan also previously worked for etail giant Asos in various roles including merchandising director and commercial director as well as holding several merchandising roles for Arcadia fascias Wallis and Topman.

Peter Cowgill, executive chairman of JD Sports Fashion, said: “We are delighted that Gwynn has joined the group and that Peter has agreed to take up a wider role with the larger group.” He added these changes will help to “further strengthen” JD’s management team.

As part of this new role Alecock will report to the board on a range of operational matters with a particular focus on the fashion arms of the business.
