Former Saks buyer Heidi Hoelzer joins MyTheresa

Former Scoop NYC and Saks womenswear buyer Heidi Hoelzer has joined German multibrand etailer and its single bricks-and-mortar store as global buying director.

Justin O’Shea, who currently holds that role, will become global fashion director to drive the overall fashion strategy for the business, from January 18. Both will report directly to MyTheresa president Michael Kliger.

Hoelzer became vice-president for womenswear at Scoop NYC from January 2012, after womenswear buyer at the business for almost five years. Scoop NYC opened its first store in Soho in New York in 1996 and now has 17 stores in the US. She also spent almost four years at Saks, latterly as women’s merchandise manager from July 2004 to March 2006.

US retailer Neiman Marcus Group, which owns department stores Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman, bought the 14,000 sq ft Theresa store in Munich and the ecommerce platform attached to it from founders Christoph and Susanne Botschen for an undisclosed sum in September 2014

The Botschen’s established the store in 1987 and launched the online business in 2006.
