Former Selfridges menswear buying boss joins online stylist Thread

Terry Betts, former buying director of menswear at Selfridges, has joined personal stylist website Thread as head of business development.

As reported by Drapers Betts left Selfridges at the end of March after almost a year and a half leading its menswear buying department.

Betts was buying manager at etailer Mr Porter from August 2012 until November 2013.

Since Bett’s departure from Selfridges his role has been divided among other team members, resulting in a number of promotions.

Former buying manager for women’s designerwear Bosse Myhr has been made director of menswear and technology. Richard Jones, who joined in August 2007 as buying manager for technology, now has additional responsibilities for men’s underwear and men’s accessories. Eleanor Robinson has been promoted from buying manager for menswear to the newly created role of head of accessories buying.

Thread was founded in 2012 and offers shoppers a free online personal stylist service.
