Former USC brand and marketing director Jo Bohling has inked a consultancy deal with young fashion brand Gio-Goi as the business looks to review its marketing strategy.
The deal is the first major fashion partnership for Bohling, who officially launched his marketing and brand consultancy business Jolyon Consulting earlier this year.
Bohling will be charged with updating Gio-Goi’s brand guidelines for stockists and introducing more consumer-facing initiatives such as competitions to help drive sell-throughs. Gio-Goi will also deliver bespoke marketing packages for its multiple retailer stockists.
Bohling will spend two days a week with the brand for the next six months, and will work alongside the existing pr and marketing team.
Bohling said: “We won’t be changing the positioning of the brand but will be reviewing the strategy to make sure it is in line with the exponential growth Gio-Goi has experienced.”
Separately, Bohling is in discussions with potential investment partners about a new branded denim-led retail venture.
