Founder revs up Speedway for relaunch

Leisurewear brand Speedway will be relaunched at trade show Scoop this week.

Founder Henry Ettinger has partnered with Jonathan Judah, former managing director of sales and distribution agency Prelude Trading, to revive the British-made brand, which operated for 10 years from 1986.

Speedway, which offers men’s and women’s sweatshirts, pants, hoodies and T-shirts, will be manufactured at the same British factory in the Midlands that made its first range in 1986.

Wholesale prices for the spring 14 launch range and for autumn 14, both of which will be shown at Scoop, start at £15 for T-shirts and rise to £50 for oversized hoodies.
