Fran Horowitz becomes chief executive of Abercrombie & Fitch

Fran Horowitz has been promoted to chief executive of US retailer Abercrombie & Fitch from her role as president and chief merchandising officer.

Horowitz became president and chief merchandising officer in December 2015, when former group product director Christos Angelides left his role of president.

Joanne Crevoiserat has become chief operating officer, and will continue in her role as executive vice-president and chief financial officer.

Horowitz replaces Michael Jeffries, who stepped down in 2014. Executive chairman Arthur Martinez led the firm in the interim.
