Frances Card leaves Cocosa

Frances Card, consulting brand director at off-price luxury goods site Cocosa, has left the business.

Cocosa said it was seeking a replacement for Card and that in the interim period the buying team would be led by Claire Phillips and Sandy Bontout.

Phillips joined Cocosa last November from Harrods. Bontout joined the business last June. She previously worked at Dubai luxury independent Boutique 1.

Cocosa managing director Andrew Robb said: “Frances has made a huge contribution to the success of Cocosa since its launch, bringing on luxury fashion brands that have cemented Cocosa’s unique premium positioning and recruiting an outstanding buying team. We all thank her for everything she has done and wish her all the best in her future.”

Robb added: “In Sandy and Claire we boast a wealth of buying experience, and Cocosa will continue to benefit from them both curating Cocosa’s private sales of premium fashion brands for our members.”

Card said: “I have had a wonderful time launching Cocosa, and move on knowing the site has created a real difference amongst fashion brands and consumers over the past six months. I leave Cocosa in great hands in Sandy and Claire.”

Frances helped launched Cocosa in October 2008. Cocosa is a members-only site which runs several special Sales of discounted designer goods each week. Designer Sales includethe likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Matthew Williamson, Liberty and  Temperley.

Forthcoming sales include Vera Wang and a third sale from Christian Lacroix
