French Connection will open a pop-up shop at London’s Old Street station on September 1, where shoppers will be able to collect online orders.
The 1,000 sq ft F by French Connection store is the retailer’s first click-and-collect shop and will run for four months to cover the Christmas period. It will enable shoppers to order products online before 1pm and collect them after 5pm the same day.
It will also stock a selection of gifts and key pieces from French Connection’s autumn 14 collection.
The pop-up store is a trial and French Connection said it will “continue to consider opening small outlets at other transport hubs”.
TfL owns 1,200 shops and kiosks at Tube, rail and bus stations, and more than 11 million journeys take place on its network every day. At Old Street, units range from £500 a week for a 20 sq ft market stall, to £2,000 a week for a 600 sq ft shop and £5,000 for a 1,000 sq ft exhibition tunnel.
