French Connection UK and Europe like-for-likes jump

French Connection’s retail like-for-likes in the UK and Europe have jumped 11% in the 11 weeks to April 12.

The retail and wholesale business said its performance continued the “positive trend” seen in its most recent set of results, and came about as a result of its retail initiatives and improved product range.

Last month it revealed that it had narrowed its losses to £4.4m in its full year to January 31 against a £7.2m loss the prior year.

In the second half of the year, French Connection made a profit of £1.7m, compared to a £900,000 loss in 2012/13.
