Exclusive: Further changes to House of Fraser top team

House of Fraser has made more changes to its executive team as part of its ongoing transformation programme under chief executive Alex Williamson, Drapers can reveal.

The retailer has promoted Gary Slattery, retail director since 2016, to the newly created role of executive director for retail. He will focus on developing the customer experience in stores.

Meanwhile Gary Monk, transformation director since 2017, will become executive director for operations. This role will focus on business technology and the supply chain.

Following the changes, Peter Gross, chief operating officer since 2008, and Julian Burnett, chief information officer since 2015, are leaving the business.

Williamson will present his strategy for House of Fraser at the end of its first quarter, in April.

A spokeswoman said: “Both [Slattery and Monk] are already delivering key elements of House of Fraser’s transformation and these new roles give them the ability move at pace to ensure the critical delivery of the major programmes underway across the business.”
