Jonathan Avery-Gee and Stephen Conn of insolvency practitioner CG & Co, have been appointed joint administrators of Hornby Street, Continental Shelf 128 and Wembley Menswear Company, which collectively traded as Juice Corporation.

Manchester-based Juice Corporation also owned brands Rawcraft, Loyalty & Faith and Juice. It was a licensee for Slazenger and Kangol clothing.

Juice Corporation had a turnover of £13m in its latest financial year.

The administrators have appointed Robson Kay as their agent to value and sell the assets.

David Kay, a director at Robson Kay, said the assets comprise stock with a retail value of about £7.5m, intellectual property rights and items such as office furniture, racking and forklift trucks.

The companies in administration also own several buildings, among them a warehouse, offices and showrooms, which can be included or excluded from any sale.

  • End of an era,the industry has changed massively since Shami used to buy from the Jeans agents after school, in their hey day the best, but how the mighty fall. We are seeing a clearing out of the dead wood from a different era, overdue but still sad to see.
