Gap will launch a dedicated online shop on German etailer Zalando next year, offering clothing and accessories under the Gap Women, Gap Men, Gap Kids and Baby Gap brands.
Gap said the partnership represents its first foray into multi-brand retailing in Europe. Stefan Laban, international senior vice president for Gap, added: “Also for the first time, Gap’s collections will be styled alongside other brands available on Zalando, providing customers with new looks to combine American and European casual style.”
Gap launched its first store in the UK in 1987 and now has 190 stores in Europe and 33 franchise locations. The partnership with Zalando aims to complement its own online presence, which currently ships to 24 countries including the UK.
