British designer Gareth Pugh opened his first retail store this weekend in Hong Kong.
The 658 sq ft store opened on Saturday on the city’s central Ice House Street and features a strong monochrome interior and luxurious fitting rooms with grey padded leather walls.
The store has no mannequins in the window, but instead features graphics and video’s from Pugh’s catwalk shows.
There are no immediate plans for further Gareth Pugh stores but the designer said he would eventually like to launch a flagship in London, according to reports.
Separately, Pugh, who regularly shows at Paris Fashion Week, has denied rumours that he is considering joining designer label Thierry Mugler.
