George at Asda invites 200 students to fashion workshop

Asda‘s George clothing brand is holding a workshop at its Asda House HQ this week to help university graduates gain a better understanding of the fashion industry.

Around 200 students from Bradford University, Leeds University, University of Central Lancashire, Manchester Metropolitan University, Northumbria University, Trinity St David’s University and Bath University will attend the workshop at Asda’s Merchandising Centre of Excellence on Thursday (April 10). The workshop is being run by George in conjunction with Graduate Fashion Week and graduate network Arts Thread.

The workshop will include sessions on career development and the journey and life of a garment.

George brand director Fiona Lambert said: “Through its sponsorship of Graduate Fashion Week, George aims to provide greater support and guidance to young fashion students.”
