Clooney dismissed the story, which was issued as a press release over the Easter weekend, as a hoax and is reported to have said he has no plans whatsoever to launch a fashion line.

  • As read in Vogue this morning:

"GEORGE CLOONEY has rubbished media reports over the weekend that he is to launch his own fashion line.

After a poorly-written email was issued to press - announcing that the actor had established a company called GC Exclusive by George Clooney in Milan, which was to handle production of Clooney's owns men's, women's and accessories collections - the news spread like wildfire. But Clooney insists he is the victim of an early April Fools Day prank.

"This is a hoax," the Ocean's 13 star said in a statement. "I have no connection whatsoever with any clothing line bearing my name, and more specifically GC Exclusive by George Clooney."
