George Davies eyes sites for first GIVe stand alone stores

George Davies, the man behind Next, Per Una and George at Asda, is set to secure sites for the first stores for his new GIVe brand, to open in October.

Davies, who is rolling out GIVe in independent department stores this autumn, will also open stand alone stores in October. The locations will be Regent Street in London, Buchanan Street in Glasgow, the Liverpool One shopping centre, Bristol’s Cribbs Causeway, Sheffield’s Meadowhall and Bluewater in Kent, and a store in Kingston, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Davies is understood to be in the final stages of securing the sites.

The 150-piece GIVe collection is aimed at 35-plus shopper and has been described by Davies as “affordable luxury”.

The report says that Davies is also in talks to sell GIVe in two Dutch department stores. A website will also launch in October.
