Giles Deacon is the latest designer to stop producing his ready-to-wear collection to concentrate on his couture range.
The move will see Deacon leave London Fashion Week and join the Paris couture schedule in July.
He told WWD: “We want to focus on what we do well, and maximise the success of the red carpet and private client work we’ve been doing over the past four years. We want to be the go-to business for super special daywear and eveningwear, to focus on what we are known for, and what our customers want from us.”
Matthew Williamson came off the London Fashion Week schedule last year to focus on his couture range and Jonathan Saunders stepped down as creative director of his eponymous label for personal reasons in December.
