Girls on Film grows swim and beachwear offering for spring

Young fashion brand Girls on Film will expand its swimwear line and add beachwear to the mix from spring 15.

The sister brand to Little Mistress introduced a basic 10-piece swimwear collection for spring 14, but the new 24-piece line will include cover-ups including kaftans, sheer maxi dresses and kimonos.

It soft launched its smaller swimwear collection for spring 14 via little-mistress.co.uk and Next. Mark Ashton, chief executive of Little Mistress Group, said the response had been “electric”. He added: “It sold out in 11 days. On the strength of that, we are building on this success and have developed more of a beachwear/lifestyle collection for spring 15.”

The brand hopes stockists of its main collection of separates, dresses and outerwear - such as Very, Asos.com, Dorothy Perkins, Bank and Lipsy - will take on the swim and beachwear range.

It will be available through little-mistress.co.uk from the end of January 2015 and is available to forward order now. Wholesale prices for bikinis range from £8-£12, swimsuits from £10-£12 and cover-ups from £10-£13.

Hi, thanks for your comment. Our understanding is that the initial run sold out, but has been restocked since. Please note that Drapers’ editorial content is independent – we write about a large number of brands, regardless of whether they advertise with us or not.
