British luggage brand Globe-Trotter is to open a new flagship store in Mayfair at the beginning of 2014, in the latest of a series of developments for the brand
Relocating from its boutique in Burlington Arcade, the new store on Albemarle Street will be more than twice its current size at 2,594 sq ft. It will become home to the retailer’s iconic luggage and the new Jet and Propeller collections, which launched in summer 2013.
The flagship store will also include a luxurious bespoke lounge and showroom, along with a VIP area for customers who wish to design their own items.
GlobeTtrotter will now be sitting alongside other premium brands in Mayfair, including Paul Smith and Amanda Wakeley.
Jeff Vaughn, chairman of Globe-Trotter, said “After 10 successful years in Burlington Arcade the move to larger premises on Albemarle Street will allow the brand to showcase the ever expanding collection of heritage suitcases, along with the new leather collections. Globe-Trotter has enjoyed incredible growth in the last two years and this move will give us a new foundation on which to build for the future.”
This most recent development follows the opening of a new and larger factory in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire.
