Gloria Vanderbilt expands range

US denim brand Gloria Vanderbilt is to introduce a range of T-shirts and knitwear for summer 10, following the UK relaunch of its denim for autumn 09 after a 15-year absence from the market.

The line will consist of 17 pieces including T-shirts, cardigans, twin-sets and sweaters made from cotton, silk and cashmere.

Gloria Vanderbilt’s spring 10 range is intended to offer customers “anything you would wear every day to accompany jeans”, according to director Peter Simons.

The brand’s growth focus will remain with denim as well as associated items.

Gloria Vanderbilt’s denim will relaunch in UK stores next month, targeting the fashion-conscious 35-plus market.

John Lewis is a key stockist. “We’re looking for more independent shops to stock us. We haven’t approached anyone yet, but are looking for them to come to us,” said Simons.

The summer 10 range will wholesale from £20 to £30 with a mark up of 2.7. Contact 07595 953214 for more information.
