Graphic designer creates no-logo Lacoste collection

Graphic designer Peter Saville has created a line of polo shirts for Lacoste without the brand’s iconic crocodile logo.

The Christmas limited-edition series was designed as part of the brand’s 80th anniversary celebrations and features green embroidery in various squiggles to a rough outline, instead of the Lacoste animal emblem.

Saville’s collection includes 80 polo shirts for men and 80 for women and will go on sale on November 15 at Lacoste flagships around the world, priced at E420 (£360).

A larger commercial edition, in eight versions each for men and for women, will also be produced and sold in Lacoste’s regular distribution, priced at E140 (£120).
