Green denies Debenhams bid interest

Arcadia-owner Sir Philip Green has denied any interest in Debenhams after bid speculation caused the share price to rise 2.4% to 148.25p as Drapers went to press. City rumours also suggested Baugur and private equity companies could be considering a takeover of the department store group.
