Hakaan launches exclusively with Harvey Nichols

Department store Harvey Nichols will exclusively sell the debut autumn 10 collection from London Fashion Week designer Hakaan, winner of this year’s ANDAM Award.

London-based Hakaan Yildirim, who made his LFW debut last season, has unveiled a collection featuring an ostrich feather skirt, leather gladiator dress and ribbed leather trousers.Prices range from £660 to £2500.

In June Turkish-born designer won the 2010 ANDAM (Association Nationale pour le Développement Des Arts de la Mode) Award, which is designed to champion international designers. Last year British designer Giles Deacon took home the trophy.

This year’s winner was decided by a panel of the association’s corporate partners and fashion professionals, including Daily Telegraph fashion editor Hilary Alexander, Jefferson Hack, co-founder of Dazed & Confused magazine and Lanvin artistic director Alber Elbaz.
