Hallett goes upmarket with new concessions

Hallett Retail, which runs young fashion department store concessions business Fuse, is rolling out a new concession concept called Gallery.
Gallery, which is aimed at older and more upmarket shoppers than Fuse, follows the trial of a similar concept at Allders in Croydon, Surrey, and the Westgate department store in Harrogate in North Yorkshire under the name Collections. Both have now been rebranded to Gallery.

Two more Gallery concessions have opened in Debenhams stores in Preston and Cambridge, and there are plans for six more to open by next summer. Brands on offer will include Fever, Naf Naf, B Young, Simple Wish, Soo Lee and Pink Accessories.

Owner Wendy Hallett said: “Collections worked quite well, but it didn’t have the same impact and recognition factor as Fuse. With new labels and a new name, the Gallery concessions are now just as strong as Fuse and have great potential.”

Fuse stocks about 10 brands including Playboy, Ichi, and Blend She. It runs about 35 concessions in Debenhams, Allders and De Gruchy in Jersey.
