The chief financial officer of Harrods, John Edgar, has left the business after five years, Drapers can reveal.
Edgar left the business last week to look for “new challenges”.
He joined in September 2012 from Selfridges where he was group CFO.
Edgar continues to be a director at private Sale site Vente-Privee, which he has been involved with since 2014.
A spokeswoman for Harrods said: “After nearly five successful years with Harrods, John Edgar has decided to look for new challenges externally. John has been instrumental in driving Harrods strong financial performance in recent years, and Harrods thanks him for his contribution to the company.”
