Harrods reveals store plans for Terminal 5

Harrods has unveiled plans for its new concept store at Heathrow Terminal 5.

The 10,000 sq ft luxury fashion and accessories mini department store will be the anchor retail unit at Terminal 5, which opens on March 31 next year.

The store's fashion offer will consist of designer and bridge brands.

Created by design agency Fitch, the shop will feature two domes across its menswear and womenswear areas in a bid to create a light boutique feel.

A denim bar will be situated at the back of the women's area, featuring a jeans library. For menswear there will be a bespoke shirt and tie ordering service.

Harrods managing director Michael Ward told Drapers: "Our vision for Harrods Terminal 5 is totally unique in the airport environment and represents a further evolution of our brand. Think breathtaking, spacious, luxurious and innovative. These are all words synonymous with our space.

"But we will continue to honour the British heritage and outstanding service values associated with Harrods," he added.
