Harvey Nichols appoints head of womenswear

Former Anthropologie head of buying Olivia Richardson has been appointed group head of womenswear at Harvey Nichols, replacing April Glassborow.

Richardson joined the business last month. She had most recently been consulting for several high street and luxury retailers, including Topshop, after leaving Anthropologie in 2010.

Her other previous roles include head of fashion at department store Liberty between 2003-2009.

Harvey Nichols group buying director Anita Barr said: “I am delighted Olivia is joining my team at this exciting time. Her exceptional judgement will help us with our aim of becoming a formidable player in the global luxury market with the best edit and the authoritative voice in fashion.”

Richardson is the latest in a series of hires since chief executive Stacey Cartwright joined in February, including the appointment of Barr, who joined in march, group communications director Emma Byrne, who started in April, and group marketing and creative director shadi Halliwell, who joined in June.
