Harvey Nichols appoints new head of editorial

Former Chloé fashion editor Jodie Ball has been appointed head of editorial at Harvey Nichols, tasked with driving its content strategy.

Ball will join the department store on December 8 and report to Shadi Halliwell, group marketing and creative director. She replaces Neil Holbrook, who was with the company for 14 years. His plans are not known.

Ball was responsible for defining Chloé’s global editorial strategy and launched the fashion brand on Instagram in 2013. She previously spent two years at Burberry, where she managed digital content, and spent seven years as a trend forecaster and fashion editor at WGSN.

Halliwell said: “Jodie brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in this area and will play an important part in driving forward Harvey Nichols’ editorial and content strategy.”
