Harvey Nichols has split from its licence partner in Azerbaijan and has pulled its name from a department store in Baku’s Globus Plaza.
The 110,000 sq ft seven-storey Harvey Nichols opened in March, stocking 500 designers across womenswear, menswear and kidswear.
A spokeswoman said: “Harvey Nichols has terminated its licence agreement with the operator of the Baku store. Consequently, the Baku store no longer operates under the Harvey Nichols brand. For legal reasons we are not able to comment further.”
The department store’s franchise partner was Perfomans, part of General Construction, an investment group in Azerbaijan.
