Harvey Nichols has launched a new footwear offering on the fourth floor of its Knightsbridge flagship.
The 400 sq ft ‘Shoetopia’ space showcases the best edit of contemporary shoes from the department store’s carefully selected brands.
Although it has already opened, the area - which includes a display that gives the illusion of a catwalk - will not be at full capacity until September.
For autumn 13, a total of 18 brands have been signed up including Acne, Opening Ceremony and Isabel Marant, with labels such as Markus Lupfer and Senso making their Harvey Nichols debut. The space is also the only UK stockist of US footwear label Elizabeth & James.
Jasmine Sanya, women’s footwear buyer at Harvey Nichols, told Drapers the space had been created to offer a “destination point” for shoppers.
Sanya added: “Kenzo has been flying out of the store since the opening so we expect that to continue for autumn. Isabel Marant and Opening Ceremony should also sell really well next season.”
