Hawkshead appoints brand director

Hawkshead, the outdoor brand, has appointed Richard Utting as brand director.

Utting joined Hawkshead from footwear brand Rohan, where he was retail and marketing director. He is also a former business development manager at footwear company Clarks, where he was responsible for growing retail and franchise stores in the UK and North America.

Utting has been charged we restoring Hawskhead to its former glory. The outdoor brand fell into administration last year after difficult trading but was subsequently rescued by Craghoppers.

Craghoppers managing director Jim McNamara said: "We're really excited about having Richard on board. His experience, combined with the strengths of the existing team, are sure to be a winning combination and Hawkshead will be taken quickly from strength to strength."

Utting added: "I am really looking forward to working with Jim and the team in developing Hawkshead into the premier supplier of clothing and accessories for adventurous people, who want to enjoy the British countryside."
