H&M group sales rise 9%

H&M group sales increased 9% to SEK 64.8bn  (£5.5bn) for the three months to 31 August, compared with the same period last year.

The group, whose brands include Monki, Weekday, & Other Stories and Cos, said sales and cost development in some of its important markets, such as the US, France, Italy and Belgium, were affected by issues that emerged during the implementation of new logistics systems in the spring.

“The new logistics systems enable a faster and more efficient supply chain as well as a continued integration of store and online” it said.
