H&M like-for-likes fall for fourth month

H&M saw like-for-like sales fall 4% in November, which meant comparable sales for the last 12 months were behind 1%.

Total November sales at H&M were up 7%. H&M had 1,738 stores at November 30 versus 1,522 in November 2007.

November marked the fourth consecutive month of like-for-like sales declines for H&M. August like-for-likes were down 3%, while September and October showed a 2% decline.

Total sales also slowed on previous months. September sales had been up 10% while October sales were up 9%.

The sales figures are in local currencies and include VAT.
