Swedish fast fashion giant H&M is to launch a collaboration with Parisian luxury design house Balmain in around 250 of its international stores and online on November 5.
The collection will feature womenswear, menswear and accessories. The first pieces were previewed last night by models Kendal Jenner and Jourdan Dunn at the Billboard Music Awards in the US.
H&M has a long history of designer collaborations which started in 2004 with Karl Lagerfeld, followed by collections by Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, Madonna, Roberto Cavalli, Comme des Garçons, Matthew Williamson, Jimmy Choo, Sonia Rykiel, Lanvin, Versace, Marni, David Beckham, Anna Dello Russo, Maison Martin Margiela, Isabel Marant and Alexander Wang.
Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing said: “The collaboration felt extremely natural to me as H&M is a brand that everybody connects to.”
