HoF and John Lewis appointments boost New West End Company board

New West End Company has boosted its strategic board with retail appointments to help oversee the regeneration of London’s West End shopping district.

House of Fraser chief operating officer Peter Gross, John Lewis retail director Andrew Murphy, Austin Reed chief executive Nick Hollingworth and Longchamp UK general manager Paul Lorraine have been appointed to the panel with immediate effect.

Directors from luxury jewellery retailers Tiffany and Aurum Holdings and pharmacy chain Boots will join existing board members including Fenwick chairman Mark Fenwick and Selfridges operations director Sue West.

Sir Peter Rogers, chairman of New West End Company, said:  “I’m delighted to welcome our new appointments onto an already strong board of New West End Company.

“Our strengthened board will drive policy influence at all levels of government and provide an even greater international network to the retail and property sector.”

John Lewis selling operations director Nat Wakeley has been replaced by his colleague retail director Andrew Murphy, while the former House of Fraser chief executive John King has been replaced by chief operating officer Peter Gross.
