Hoopers hit by second robbery in five weeks

Tunbridge Wells department store Hoopers has been hit by smash-and-grab robbers for the second time in just five weeks.

Kent Police received reports that a burglary was in progress in the store’s menswear department at The Great Hall shopping arcade at 2.50am on Sunday October 10. It is understood that a door and a window were smashed to gain entry.

The store, which stocks a range of premium menswear brands, was unavailable for comment at the time of writing.

The value of the clothing stolen this time is unknown although it is believed that up to £10,000 worth was taken during the previous raid.
