Surfwear brand Hot Tuna as announced the appointment of a new executive chairman with immediate effect.
Fomer Littlewoods Group business development director Francis Ball, who was appointed as non-executive director by the Hot Tuna brand in February, will now take on executive responsibility for the business in the UK.
The appointment of Ball will allow existing executive chairman Geoff O’Connell to focus on the brand’s international business and planned overseas expainsion.
Hot Tuna is said to have already developed levels of interest in the brand in key markets throughout continental Europe as well as establishing a powerful trading relationship in Australia and New Zealand.
In March Hot Tuna announced that sales at of the brand dropped by over £200,000 in the six months to December 31 due to challenging retail conditions and poor consumer confidence.
