The chairman of House of Fraser owner Sanpower Group has called on Prime Minister Theresa May to give a “definite signal” about the kind of Brexit deal she wants.
Speaking to the BBC at the retailer’s flagship China store in Nanjing, Yuan Yafei said that although he was confident that leaving the EU would not be “too bad” for the UK economy, a strong signal was needed from the very top of the UK government.
House of Fraser sold a majority stake in its business to Sanpower for £480m in 2014.

HOF just needs to get on with it. They cannot use BREXIT as an excuse for their own failings as it has nothing to do with it. Whether there is 'clarity' (sic) or not, we are all in the same boat.

Irrespective of being in the same boat, there are steps which fashion businesses selling to or buying from overseas (and, in particular, outside the EU) should be doing to prepare for Brexit.
Putting to one side today's leak from DExEU, what has been studiously ignored is that the UK government may want certain things for Brexit and a transition deal, but without agreement by the EU27 a hard Brexit will result.
