Exclusive: House of Fraser clothing boss to depart

House of Fraser’s executive director for apparel and accessories Jackie Hay is leaving the business to take up a role at Michael Kors this summer.

Hay joined House of Fraser as buying director in September 2009. She was promoted to executive director of menswear and childrenswear in September 2012, and took on her most recent role in March 2015.

Before House of Fraser she was senior buyer at Austin Reed Group from November 2003 to April 2005. Other previous employers include at marketing agency FutureBrand and Marks & Spencer, where she was a buyer for seven years.

Drapers understands she is leaving House of Fraser on amicable terms. Her position at Michael Kors has not yet been confirmed.

House of Fraser has begun seeking a replacement. The retailer said: “We can confirm that Jackie Hay will be leaving House of Fraser this year. We are extremely grateful to Jackie for her invaluable contribution to the business over the years, and wish her all the best in her future endeavours.”

Michael Kors has been contacted for a comment.
