House of Fraser has introduced an early morning delivery service, which allows customers to receive online orders before they leave for work.
The service has initially been launched with a 7pm order cut-off the day before, which will rise to 8pm at later date, as yet unconfirmed. The orders will be delivered to mainland UK customers before 9am on the next day or any future day of choice during a two-hour window on Monday to Saturday inclusive, for a fee of £8. The service is available online, through mobile and at order-in-store terminals.
Early morning delivery joins an existing next evening delivery service, which has a cut-off time of midnight.
“We believe this is a first in the industry, and we are proud to launch this service for our customers, who keep telling us home delivery is not convenient because most people have to take time off work to receive parcels at home,” said Andy Harding, executive director for multichannel at HoF.
