Michelle Maynard joins from Aviva

Maynard joined the insurance company as director of talent and organisational development in February 2016, and latterly took on the role of chief people officer for Aviva France.

She has also held positions at British Airways, Coca-Cola, the AA and Thomas Cook Group.

Maynard will begin her new role at HoF on 4 July. She will report to incoming chief executive Alex Williamson, who will join the department store group at the end of July.

As part of her role, Maynard will oversee the business’s HR functions including internal communications.

She will also take over various HR functions for HoF’s stores and offices, which have been reporting on an interim basis to chief operating officer Peter Gross and legal and property executive director Peter Hearsey.

HoF executive chairman Frank Slevin said: “I am extremely pleased that someone with Michelle’s knowledge and experience is part of our executive team as we implement our five-year vision, which will ensure the future success of our business.”
