House of Fraser website back online

House of Fraser’s website has been relaunched more than a month after it was taken offline.

The department store mothballed its website on 14 August and redirected shoppers to Flannels after Mike Ashley’s Sports Direct bought the business.

Although the site is back up and running it is not clear whether all HoF online entities are back online, a banner across the front page of the HoF site notes that “recognition card holders will not earn points at this time”.

The website woes followed on from a dispute between House of Fraser and warehouse operator XPO over £30.4m in fees that were owed to XPO when the business went into administration.

Drapers understands XPO’s Milton Keynes warehouse will close in November with the loss of around 300 jobs. The warehouse in Wellingborough will remain open until at least March, but it is thought Sports Direct could be set to transfer all HoF orders to its Shirebrook warehouse in the future.
